This rare release is a cask strength version of the already popular Dr. Bird rum. Finished in Vermouth barrels and bottled at cask strength, this is sure to be a treat, as I was a fan of the OG Bird. Let's give it a go.

House Review
Nose:
Rich and acidic - loaded with vinegar, fruity and musty bouquet. Rich honey, wine, some sour fruit and a ton of caramel.
Taste:
Medium on the palate with loads of caramel, papaya, honey and nutty sweetness. Some wine weirdness here, as well as burning rubber. Heat is very much in check.
Finish:
Long, rich and pungent. Ashy, burning rubber, tons of toffee and funk. Rich and powerful.
Overall:
Just like the one I tried blind earlier, this is really really enjoyable. Love this profile and the availability of CS bird now via these picks.
Score:
88
