Raided Score: 81The Whiskey Jug By Josh Peters An interesting whisky created solely from lowlands, The Epicurean Whisky, is a subtle delivery of earthy malt paired with some light sweetness. It’s not complex, it won’t curl your mustache, but it will give you a nice sense of place for the whisky in the glass. House Review
Nose:
Honey, peaches, pears, vanilla, waxy fruits.
Taste:
Thin, mild heat, vanilla, pears, pepper, waxy fruits, mild smoke. Reminds me of a weaker Great Kings Street from Compass Box, almost.
Finish:
Short, thin, hot, fruity pears. Faint lime, waxy fruits.
Overall:
Not bad but too hot in the finish for what it is. Other than the heat, this is really enjoyable, mustache and all.
