Don Q Double Aged Port Cask Finish is bottled at 40% after aging 5 to 8 years in American white oak barrels and resting a further 3 years in old European tawny port wine casks.

Funky and full of red berries, red vine licorice candies, canned cranberry sauce, cherry cordials and a juicy blackberry note.
Thin to medium on the palate, a bit of char, pepper and a touch of clove. Packed with berries and fruit, cherry cordials, raspberries, more red vine licorice and strawberry syrup. Not quite natural but also not quite artificial.
Short finish, jammy and bright and heavy on the molasses and pepper.
You have to love jammy fruits to love this Don Q expression, and while it’s a touch fruity for my tastes, it’s a unique look from Don Q.
