  • Sweet on the palate, with oak showing plenty of presence. Agave is up front, with oak, brown sugar and clove on the back palate. Not wood dominated, but it’s there, and it balances nicely. Don Fulano distillate seems to lean sweet (naturally so) and this extra tannin structure really keeps things balanced and interesting. Yum. Moderate mouthfeel. I like this, and it shows some great balance.

  • Aromas and flavors of chocolate toffee and raisins, roasted almonds, herbed yams, and roasted yellow peppers. A rich, spicy, yet balanced añejo for sipping, cigars, or high-end cocktails.

  • Nose:

Really pronounced brown sugar, cinnamon, clove, and bright agave. A hint of sour fruit keeps acidity and sweetness in check. Pear, apple, papaya, mango. Yum .

  • Finish:

Long finish. Brown sugar, toasted oak, caramel. The agave character is there as well - bright tropical fruits, sweet rising bread, earthy bite - and blends nicely with that wood character.

  • Overall:

I like this, and it shows some great balance.
