Distilleria dell’Alpe, founded in 1948 by Fernuccio di Bernard in Bastia d’Alpago, Veneto, is a producer of Italian spirits. Located in the Cansiglio forest in the Eastern Italian Alps, it was one of the first producers of Italian gin. In 2002, the Maschio family acquired the distillery, revived original recipes and continues to use the original pot stills. Rosen Bitter was first produced in 1951. It is made by infusing mountain herbs and berries from the Cansiglio forest in the Italian Alps for about 20 days. Some essences, such as mountain rose and bay tree, are obtained by distillation for added aromatic intensity, per the brand. It hosts a suggested retail price of $32.
