Dirwest Gwirod is a nonalcoholic botanical spirit produced in a Welsh gin style in the Vale of Glamorgan. It is made with botanicals including juniper, Seville orange and black pepper. Bottled at 0.5% ABV, it is designed for mixing with tonic water and is gluten-free, vegan and low-calorie.
The alcohol-free gin market is fairly crowded these days, and drinks need something a bit different about them if they’re going to stand out. This one has juniper and coriander, which are widely found in gins, but there are also hints of citrus and pepper, and that’s what makes the difference here – especially the pepper.
