Denizen's Vatted Dark is a 100 Proof blend made with 80% full-bodied dark rum from Guyana and 20% fresh unaged Rhum Agricole from La Favorite Distillery in Martinique. The rum was distilled with a collection of antique multi-column and wooden pot stills, and fashioned in the old 'vatted style' from the mid-18th century that used large wooden vats to rest the rum.   • Nose:

    Heavy on caramel, toffee, some baking spice and maple on the nose. A hint of pepper, heavy sweetness.

  • Taste:

    Sweet on the palate, moderate mouthfeel. Pleasant texture at 100pf. Big maple, toffee, some tobacco and a bit of nougat.

  • Finish:

    Long finish, heavy on maple, tobacco and some pepper, ginger and cracked pepper.

  • Overall:

    Pleasant and sweet, there’s a good deal going on and 100pf remains a versatile sweet spot here as well.
