  • Some of the wateriness comes through that limits it, but honestly it has some nice flavors that do develop over the experience.

  • Cutty Sark is a great value. It’s better than some NAS single malts, it’s better than some pricier blends and can be picked up for 1/2 – 1/3 the price of an average single malt.

  • A pleasing tingle of spices on the finish, coupled with punchy citrus notes. A nimble, vigorous blend that offers a multitude of serves.

  • A relatively light one, rather flawless. Should work well in a long drink, with a lot of fresh water.

  • The whisky is quite oily, and while not entirely complex, it finishes pleasantly with more cereal and honey.

  • On the palate, it's sweet, light, caramelly, with a whiff of smoke on the finish, reminiscent of some Irish whiskies. Very pleasant sipping.

  • This was dreadful and consistently so.

  • Nose:

Sweet vanilla, lots of perfumey floral notes. Grain.

  • Taste:

Thin, really faint notes like apples, honey, pear, grain, astringent rubber notes. I say theyre all faint because theyre hidden under a blanket of ethanol thats none too pleasant to dig into.

  • Finish:

Short, astringent rubber notes. Some apple. Mostly grain.

  • Overall:

This was dreadful and consistently so. It wasn't as bad as Slaughterhouse, though, so that has that going for it. Surprisingly though, this won the blind test against other dreck. Despite that discrepancy, I don't think people will be rushing out to buy it.
