House Review
Nose:
Sour fruit, ethanol, honey, lemon, bitter, acidic sulphuric. Hard to believe I'm saying this, but for a 16yr old dram, it's not remotely enticing.
Taste:
Sweet at first, honey butter, toffee, red grapes and blackberries. Ethanol, hot hot hot, bitter oak, sulphuric chemical character lactic and funky. Waxed fruits, in the fake way.
Finish:
Short finish, rough, hot, artificial and plastic-y. No thanks.
Overall:
A swing and a miss from Craigellachie, Old Particular and K&L Wines. Making it through this pour was tough.
Score:
70
