The Country Club Vodka brand, established in 1957, was purchased by Harry Lipman from Double Springs Distillery, which used charcoal filtering for vodka production. In the 1970s, Robert Lipman repositioned Country Club to compete in the budget-friendly market alongside brands like Popov and Gordons. During this time, Country Club Gin, made in a London dry style, was added to the portfolio.
