The sweetness and aftertaste very much remind me of the lovely smoked beef roasts I have cooked recently. It definitely leaves me with that same sweet and smokey aftertaste.
Corsair Triple Smoke is the whiskey you’d give a friend who wanted a “manly whiskey”. They would only ask this because they don’t know anything about whiskey, but luckily you do and that’s why you had this on hand to give to them.
The smoke is mildly peaty — imagine the gentlest Islay whisky you’ve ever had — with an echo of applewood-smoked bacon, dried flowers, and a touch of cloves. Surprisingly quiet on the finish.
Thin, cloyingly sweet. Honey, sugar, grains. Maple, more liquid smoke. Not as ashy as Brimstone.
Finish:
Short, again cloyingly sweet and faintly smoky.
Overall:
It's thin, too sweet in a cloying way and the smoke tastes fake. That's about the best I can say of this product. Why are all my garbage whiskey reviews bunching together? I want off this train. Someone save me. Please.
