Cooper's Craft Straight Bourbon, produced by Brown-Forman, is a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey with 41.1% ABV. Made from 75% corn, 15% rye and 10% malted barley, it is aged for at least four years and undergoes a beech and birch charcoal-filter finishing process. Brown-Forman, known for making its own barrels, created Cooper's Craft to honor the coopers who craft them.
This light and fruity bourbon has so much apple and pear flavor it nearly resembles apple brandy. That's not a bad thing, especially with its smooth, toasty notes, dark caramel, creamy vanilla, lemon zest and mild, sweet spices.
I would recommend this whiskey, especially for newcomers to the brown spirit. Seasoned whiskey drinkers may not like it because it isn’t overly complex or nuanced, but it’s a nice daily sipper that won’t break the bank.
