Produced in Durham, North Carolina, Conniption Barrel Aged Gin Series 2020 Release from Durham Distillery was aged for 10 months in bourbon barrels sourced from High West Distillery. It's bottled at 47% ABV and priced at $44.95 for 750 ml. Initially a North Carolina exclusive in late 2020, it became available for online purchase by February 2021. Durham Distillery, founded in 2013 by Melissa and Lee Katrincic, produces gin through a two-step process combining traditional pot still distillation and modern cold vacuum distillation. Botanicals such as juniper, coriander, caraway, rosemary, and cardamom are vapor-infused in a German pot still, while fig, cucumber and honeysuckle flowers are cold distilled separately before blending.
