There is a strong fragrance of orange, it smells like walking through a citrus grove and picking a fresh orange and peeling it. The zest of the peel, the bitter smell of the pith and the aromas of the blossoms surround you. Fruity raspberry notes are overshadowed by citrus but present. The juniper is not as strong on the nose but it still there along with other herbal characteristics.
The juniper becomes more present on the palate but it is quickly overtaken by floral notes of orange blossom and lime zest. There is a melon like flavor that acts as a supporting star, which is likely due to the prickly pear.
The gin has a very floral finish that dissipates quickly followed by a lingering of orange with a sweet melon and rind note.
This is a lovely gin for those who like more of citrus forward style. Condesa makes gorgeous gins both in flavor and in presentation.
