Company Distilling Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished with Maple Wood is a 90-proof release made from whiskey aged at least 4.5 years. The mashbill and source remain undisclosed. Produced by Company Distilling, co-founded in 2020 by former Jack Daniel’s master distiller Jeff Arnett, the brand operates out of a tasting room in Townsend, Tennessee. The bourbon retails for around $60.
I’d give this to someone (if I had more of it) who isnt sure about whiskey, because there is absolutely no burn, and nothing about this would make you wince in any way. This is thoroughly enjoyable and Im so glad to have tried it and did I mention I wish I had more of it?
A soft, warming spice carries evenly across the sip before fading on a generous, spiritous finish of stewed apples and maple syrup. Enjoyable but still just a bit youthful.
