Cielo Tequila Reposado is produced from blue weber agave at Fabrica de Tequilas Finos in Jalisco, Mexico. The agave is cooked in high-pressure autoclaves, extracted with a roller mill and fermented. It undergoes triple distillation in stainless steel pot stills before aging in American white oak barrels. Bottled at 80 proof, the reposado ages for the maximum 364 days.
Some smoke develops on the palate, along with toasty agave and sharp pepper--all complemented by more vanilla and a touch of herbal honey. The finish appears hot in contrast to the entry.
