Chinaco Tequila Reposado is made from blue weber agave primarily harvested in Tamaulipas, Mexico, including estate-grown agave. The agaves are cooked in an autoclave for 12 hours, then crushed and shredded. After fermentation, the agave is distilled in copper-lined alembic stills and aged for 11 months in white oak barrels from France and England before bottling.
Where the blanco showed bright tropical fruit notes, the reposado shows the sweetness from the barrel in vanilla, chocolate, and wood spices though not to the extreme smokiness shown on their añejo.
