Produced in Grenoble, France, Chartreuse Liqueur du 9 Centenaire (Liqueur of the 9th Centenary) was created in 1984 by the Carthusian Fathers to mark the 900th anniversary of the Carthusian Order, founded in 1084 by Saint Bruno. The liqueur combines alcohol, sugar, water and 130 plant substances, bottled at 47% ABV. It blends liqueurs with different aging profiles and is presented in a 19th-century-inspired smoked glass bottle with a cork stopper.
