Chamucos Tequila Reposado is produced at Destileria Casa De Piedra in Jalisco, Mexico, using blue weber agave from Los Altos and El Valle. The agave is cooked in brick ovens, extracted with a roller mill and fermented without fibers in open-air stainless steel tanks. It is twice distilled in stainless pot stills, aged 7 months in ex-bourbon barrels and bottled at 80 proof.
The finish sees a reprise of some of the greener notes, to which notes of spearmint, cinnamon, and a touch of coffee find purchase. Totally different than the Diablo, but just as outstanding.
