Cedar Ridge The QuintEssential is an American single malt crafted in Iowa with 100% 2-row pale malted barley. It is aged in a variety of once-used barrels, including wine and port casks.
There's also cocoa powder, and a back note of smoked meat. The palate is rich and sweet with red grapes, raspberry syrup, and overripe apples dusted with cinnamon.
Develops quite nicely into a smoked stone fruit salad. Drinks significantly above proof. Not a barley-forward ASM despite a mid-palate burst, still unique in its profile.
