  • On par with the 15yr, and delightful. It's really great to see what Calumet has been up to, especially as they also provide access to older stocks at a price point few other whiskey drinkers are likely to see.

  • Nose:

Rich and funky on the nose, loaded with tobacco, cocoa, cherries, toffee and a chunk of barrel char. Complex.

  • Taste:

Moderate to viscous mouthfeel, heat is very much in check. I like this, reminds me sort of a Booker’s Jr in terms of a funky, nutty, cherry toffee profile, with a great balance of oak and sweetness.

  • Finish:

Long finish, dry, funky, loaded with butter cream, honey, brown butter, pepper and more oak.

  • Overall:

On par with the 15yr, and delightful. It's really great to see what Calumet has been up to, especially as they also provide access to older stocks at a price point few other whiskey drinkers are likely to see.
