Cadenhead's Original Collection Springbank 11 Years is a single malt Scotch whisky distilled at Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown and bottled by independent bottler Cadenhead's. The whisky was matured for 11 years in ex-bourbon casks and bottled in January 2023 at 46% ABV without chill filtration or added color. It sells for approximately £189 (around $235).

  • The palate opens with salty sea water, freshly squeezed lemon, a little bit of brine, profiteroles filled with Chantilly cream and light, well balanced smoke. It manages to remain mellow and inviting whilst still being full of flavour. Air brings out desiccated coconut, a little lychee and graphite moving into a long, pleasant finish. It has a really good mouthfeel, oily and mouth coating.

  • Malty, oily, clean. Malted barley again with a drizzle of honey now. Spearmint milk chocolate, muddy & earthy notes again, but clean/fresh - modelling clay? Lemon oil, touch of marzipan, white pepper.
