This is a unique Irish single malt that may be more in line with more traditional expressions, maintaining its lighter character and fruitiness well into its old age.
Rich, dark and fruity malty nose; malty raisiny flavor; long delicious finish and a thick chewy texture… what’s not to like? Seriously. It’s just plain amazing.
The finish is exceptionally long with lingering notes of oak and raisin. This is delicious stuff at any price point, but in a world of six figure whiskies the comparatively meager price of admission on Bushmills 21 makes it even harder to beat.
