The first release of this new line of expressions, Bulleit Blender's Select is a new, blended line coming from the handiwork and blendng expertise of Eboni Major on behalf of Bulleit Bourbon.
Towards the back, there's also a bit of sour cherry along with pepper and rye spice. A lengthy finish leaves you riding a wave of caramel and barrel char.
The flavor is complex and makes for a fantastic sipper. Probably the best Bulleit expression I have tasted. Its high rye profile is my jam, but it stands out compared to others.
This first release in the Blender’s Select series provides a major step up for the Bulleit brand, at least in my mind. The high rye mash bill provides plenty of the spice that I typically prefer in a bourbon, while also showcasing a range of dark fruit notes that tame the spice and proof to create a very smooth, drinkable bourbon.
