  • Enjoyable and easier yet to enjoy, Buffalo Trace's Kosher Rye Recipe Bourbon is easy to enjoy, but punches only slightly above the standard Buffalo Trace. It's an easy pour to enjoy, but one I wouldn't stress yourself out finding if regular Buffalo Trace is available easily in your market.

  • Nose:

    Light but sweet on the nose: honey, brown sugar, toffee and a hint of pepper and clove. Not wildly complex, but entirely enjoyable.

  • Taste:

    Sweet at first on the palate. Loads of honey, brown sugar, baking spice and a touch of cherry cordial candies. Some apple, pear, light touch of pepper. Not terribly rich on the palate as far as viscosity is concerned, but the flavor carries nicely.

  • Finish:

    Short finish. Perhaps the least enticing part of this pour: there's plenty of honey, light melon, some tobacco and maple here although it's gone in an instant.

  • Overall:

    Enjoyable and easier yet to enjoy, Buffalo Trace's Kosher Rye Recipe Bourbon is easy to enjoy, but punches only slightly above the standard Buffalo Trace. It's an easy pour to enjoy, but one I wouldn't stress yourself out finding if regular Buffalo Trace is available easily in your market.
