Raided Score: 89Whisky Advocate By Dave Broom The palate opens to Parma violets, underpinned with light lavender, where fleshiness mingles with the exotic notes of manuka honey, pomegranate, apricot pits, and dried lemon. It pushes malt into a new area, but that’s the point. Read Full Review Raided Score: 95Distiller By Distiller Staff While Black Art may have mysterious origins, the final result is simply sublime. This is a complex and nuanced whisky that is exceptionally well-made. House Review
Nose:
Complex, jammy nose. Apricot jam, honey, toffee, slivered almond. Rich, jammy, juicy. Opulent, even.
Taste:
Rich and butter forward. Buttery mouthfeel, creamy stewed fruits. Apricot, peach, pear, currant, a hint of cherry. Faint parchment, tobacco, pepper.
Finish:
Long, rich finish. Jammy once more with the addition of more pepper, cream, clove. Savory, faintly mineral finish.
Overall:
Blends extremely well, the complexity here is delightful. The juicy Apricot jam note is striking, delicious and opulent.
