Founder's Reserve 3 is a limited edition American single malt whiskey distilled in Minnesota from 100% pale ale malted barley. It is aged in new Minnesota white oak barrels and bottled at a cask strength of 62.5% ABV. The blend includes eight 3-year-old 30-gallon barrels and eighteen 1-year-old 5-gallon barrels, all hand-selected by founder Phil Steger. This release pays tribute to Brother Justus Trettel and reflects the convergence of Minnesota’s Great Plains, Eastern Hardwood Forest and Boreal peatlands.
