This is an independent bottling of spirit distilled at Brora. After maturing in sherry butt #1082 for 19 years, it was bottled by Signatory Vintage at 43% ABV.
Overall, this is very nice. Despite being kneecapped by a low bottling proof, its not unreasonable to think this may have been close to cask strength at bottling, however doubtful. There is a delightful complexity that only old Clynelish, St Mag, Highland Park, etc have shown me. Great stuff.

House Review
Nose:
Toffee with a lovely floral undertone. Dried plums, almonds, pine and rich vanilla. Nice pepper component, with elegant faint ash.
Taste:
Medium mouth feel. No heat, not that much would be expected from this proof. Lots of honey, rich prune, almond and old musty sherry. Nice overall. Lots going on.
Finish:
Long, lots of toffee, apple, and light smoke.
