  • This is really something. Very different from a lot of Tobala Ive had previous to this, but this bottle brings some welcome diversity to that plane.

  • Nose:

Meaty, cheese forward, lots of mango and papaya sweetness. Really enticing combination of notes. Reminds me of beef jerky meat sticks, cold pack cheese for crackers and a fruity beverage. Exceedingly complex, with plenty going on. Not super smoky, or pepper forward.

  • Taste:

Savory blend of sweet, meaty and earthy. Cream cheese frosting is center stage, with musty, grassy cardboard, pepper, cured meats and mango. Berries, namely blackberry, faint brine and some ash. Very delicious.

  • Finish:

Long, a bit smokier here. Meaty funk, sweet cream, pepper, some brine and minerality and then the ash smoke shows up. Its not overbearing, and it provides some very welcome.

  • Overall:

This is really something. Very different from a lot of Tobala Ive had previous to this, but this bottle brings some welcome diversity to that plane.
