  • For a 6-month-old bourbon it’s not bad. The spirit notes and wood notes have yet to integrate and they battle each other a bit, but it’s a decent start, not just needs more maturity.

  • Unless you're an ardent fan of David Boone, I'd skip this bottle. Ranging from overly harsh to overly sweet with no stops in between, Boone's Bourbon overwhelms the palate on its own and even seems too harsh as a useful mixer.
