Booker’s Bourbon “The Reserves” is a new series honoring Booker Noe, the grandfather of Freddie Noe, 8th Generation Master Distiller at Fred B. Noe Distillery. The inaugural release is a blend of uncut, unfiltered, cask-strength bourbons aged between 8 and 14 years, sourced from eight different warehouses. Due to the rarity and age of the barrels chosen for this series, "The Reserves" will be offered in smaller quantities than current Booker’s releases. The suggested retail price is $129.99, and the bourbon is bottled at 125.9 proof.

Toffee, butter cream, honey roasted peanuts, big oak, barrel char and tobacco hits first on the nose. It’s big and bold.
Palate is rich and powerful, a touch of ethanol but also loads of graham cracker, pie crust, gingerbread, orange peel, peanut butter and caramel, cocoa, honey roasted peanuts, tobacco and oak. It’s totally offbeat for Booker’s — in a lovely sort of way.
Hot finish loaded with spice, some ethanol, dry oak, toffee and buttercream.
Booker’s “The Reserves” is really good whiskey and a worthy inheritor of the brand name. It's wildly unique from Booker’s typical expressions, and in many ways I love it. It’s a bit hot throughout, which is my only critique, but it’s still a killer pour.
