  • Mighty Fine Batch brings things back to center and gives both Booker’s die-hards and more casual fans something to enjoy. Mighty fine, indeed!

  • The palate is especially viscous, with flavors of candy apple and salted caramel popcorn coming into the midpalate, along with a subtle herbal (rosemary) and earthy black tea characteristic. The finish is dense and rich, with subtle spices and toffee sweetness.

  • David noted the sweeter overtures of 2023-02 in his review of that whiskey, though the heavier fruit notes in the prior release are largely absent here. Water really just pushes the vanilla and peanut agenda further while tempering the not insignificant heat. Experiment with adding it sparingly; I think it’s a delight either way.

  • Weird! It’s like the flavor just disappears after the nose. Starts off promising then falls off a cliff. Enjoyable if you like high proof and the burn, but not for the flavor.
