  • Aromas of candied lime, green apple peel, and lemon mingle with scents of cedary wood spices, as though sniffing a handful of sour candies stored in a wooden crate.

  • Never particularly sweet nor overly savory, as some Booker’s releases can be, Charlie’s Batch rides a fine line right down the middle of bourbondom, letting the wood of the barrel do most of the heavy lifting.

  • This is in many ways just your prototype big, masculine Booker’s but there is a light touch evident in several key components that gives this batch a slightly more ethereal quality.

  • This release seems to harken back to the more savory, caramel- and brittle-rich profile of releases in past years and will no doubt be a hit for fans of high-proof Beam distillate.

  • Nose:

Oaky and dry on the nose with a pop of peanut, toffee, bold rich barrel char, salted caramel and espresso.

  • Taste:

Rich on the palate. Full of honey, toffee, peanut brittle, salted caramel. Rich and viscous, this whiskey delivers some of the stealthiest proof among the recent Booker's.

  • Finish:

Long finish, brimming with maple, barrel char, tobacco and sweet cream. This is a powerful pour, but the finish is super satisfying, especially for fans of pours with Booker's DNA.

  • Overall:

It's interesting to see how the profile of Booker's meanders each year. This release seems to harken back to the more savory, caramel- and brittle-rich profile of releases in past years and will no doubt be a hit for fans of high-proof Beam distillate
