  • All in all this is a very tasty tipple and not only am I going to be adding this bottle to my own collection but I think Boann, a company that was completely new to me, is going to be one that I’ll be exploring a lot more in the future.

  • Sharp sherry notes cling to the sides of the palate as the finish hangs in there — racy, well-oxidized wine with echoes of raisin and prune.

  • An extremely pleasing Irish whiskey and a superb example of PX sherry finishing done well.

  • Nose:

Sweet nose full of honey, raspberry, praline, cherry, brioche

  • Taste:

On the palate, this whiskey is very tasty and well balanced. Fruity and syrupy notes play well with a darker and nuttier profile. Raspberry, almonds, more brioche, pie crust, graham cracker, tobacco.

  • Finish:

The finish is excellently balanced once again. Walnuts and almonds mingle with syrupy, floral sherry, which transitions into that brioche and tobacco profile.

  • Overall:

An extremely pleasing Irish whiskey and a superb example of PX sherry finishing done well.

  • Score:

    93
