Bladnoch 11 Year Old is a Lowland single malt Scotch whisky matured in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 46.7% ABV. Produced at Scotland's southernmost distillery situated on the banks of the River Bladnoch, the distillery uses just one pair of stills to create whiskies known for their signature light and delicate character. It sells for around $65.
Juicy pear, potpourri, honey, just the slightest hint of smoke. As with the Vinaya, there’s no question this is a single malt. The barley flavor is there, but it’s lighter and more invigorating than I’m accustomed to with Scotches.
