Named after record producer and label owner Chris Blackwell, Blackwell Fine Jamaican Rum is produced by J. Wray & Nephew in Jamaica. It's a blend of pot still and column still rum aged in American oak barrels.
Anyway, it reminds me less of a Jamaican rum than one like Cruzan or Gosling’s, one of those blended every-bar-has-one dark mixing rums I cut my teeth on decades back.
