Black Bowmore 42 Year Old is a rare Scotch whisky distilled on November 5, 1964, and aged for 42 years in Oloroso Sherry casks. Bottled at 40.5% ABV, it currently retails for around $36,000.
Palate entry is long, unabashedly sweet and dried fruit-like; midpalate is firm and balanced, with plump and still vibrant tastes of dark fudge, dark caramel, old honey and Sherry.
