Sweet and delicious on the nose. The armagnac comes through much more potently than expected given it makes up only 10% of the blend. Lots of wine-heavy character plus pancake batter, jelly filled donuts topped with powdered sugar, cinnamon, Chessmen butter cookies, blueberry, cola, plum
Delicious on the palate. Calvados and rye lead the way here, followed by pepper, tobacco, cherry cola, vanilla and butterscotch. After a few seconds, Armagnac joins the party with some rich winey character.
A bit of meatiness and ash, pepper, plum, tobacco and some tea.
Really lovely blend. It balances sweet notes with the spice of rye and a bit of heat.
