Beyond Distilling Co. Bourbon Whiskey is produced in South Carolina from a mashbill of 70% corn, 25% wheat and 5% malted barley. Twice distilled, it is aged 4.5 years in new American white oak barrels with a #4 alligator char and bottled at 45% ABV in a 750ml format.
The palate is a deviation from the nose; there's instant heat, as chile-dark chocolate squares coat the mouth, accompanied by ginger, wood spice, and espresso bean. A nice lengthy finish keeps that spice going, with fresh-grated ginger and cinnamon stick lingering on
