A huge pop of dessert character right away on the nose: brown sugar, decadent maple syrup, a hint of orange peel, cinnamon, brown butter and some waffle cone.
Rich on the palate. There's impressive viscosity and a good bit of complexity I haven’t found in previous Bernheim Barrel Proof releases. Rich maple, toffee, tobacco, some clove and waffle cone. It’s all sweet with a bit of oak and some spice, so if you have a sweet tooth, you’re in luck.
Long finish with rich toffee, tobacco, pepper and candied ginger, cinnamon, clove and oak.
Easily the most decadent Bernheim yet; I’m in love. This whiskey will no doubt help doubters of wheat whiskey see the potential this whiskey category has.
