  • Like past releases, Bernheim Barrel Proof Original Wheat Whiskey delivers a nicely balanced sip, but consumers will have to wait another year to see if it can produce the highs that Heaven Hill’s other barrel proof products have been known to do.

  • Delicious, easily my favorite batch so far. There’s a prickle of heat but the richness is off the charts and this goes to show what Bernheim can bring to the table.

  • Nose:

Heavy cake batter, toffee, maple, big icing, light pepper, and a dash of oak but not much. It’s all heavy dessert and decadent sweetness.

  • Taste:

Rich on the palate, nougat and packed with brown sugar. Rich and dense and heavy and opulent, full of sweetness, cinnamon, praline and sweet oak. So good.

  • Finish:

Long finish, spicy and a pop of ethanol, toffee, buttercream, brown sugar and a big pile of pralines.

  • Overall:

Delicious, easily my favorite batch so far. There’s a prickle of heat but the richness is off the charts and this goes to show what Bernheim can bring to the table.
