  • Nose:

Powerful plum, toffee, sticky pudding. Sherry is powerful and aggressive. Lovely blackberry character, rich honey and raspberry. Brown sugar and praline. Exceptional nose.

  • Taste:

Blackberry, pear, apple crisp. The advent of some ash and minerality. Faint peaty smoke. Plays nicely with the sweet sherry here. Fig, stewed fruits, cocoa and caramel.

  • Finish:

Long finish, pungent and sweet. Lovely ash, some soil, minerality.

  • Overall:

Nice balance, showing really elegant complexity for a scotch this young.
