Belgrove Distillery Wholly Shit Smoked Rye Whisky is a 45% ABV rye whiskey from Kempton, Tasmania, produced by Belgrove Distillery. It comes in a 500 mL bottle. The distillery operates as a zero-kilometer producer that dries its rye with sheep dung rather than peat to reduce resource use.
Perhaps the proportion of small barrel whiskey is too high, or the small barrel whiskey in question has been aged too long, and that is what is making the whiskey a little to dry for my taste. However, for a country where the only experience of native rye whiskey is embodied in Belgrove Distillery, this batch is a good start.
