Beacon Bourbon is a four-year-old offering from Dennings Point Distillery in Beacon, New York. Bottled at 100 proof, it features locally sourced corn, rye and barley grown within 50 miles of the distillery. Beacon Bourbon retails for $58.
I love a true, small batch, locally produced bourbon, and this one is especially delicious. Everything about it is great, from the flavor profile to the packaging, and I’ll absolutely be looking to pick up a bottle to take back home to Texas.
While not ready yet, this has solid promise. Honestly, between this and the barrel proof version, this is such a clear winner that I can’t understand why there are different processes for each. Choose one - and choose this one.
