  • Nose:

Bold on the nose, powerful maple, brown sugar, big oak and honey rise immediately with undertones of cinnamon, sugar, aromatic bitters, caramel apple and woodspice

  • Taste:

he palate is dense and rich, full of bold sweetness, plenty of oak, honey, toffee, caramel, Amburana spice, nutmeg and a dash of cinnamon. Impressive, richness, nice layers, easy drinking for near 60%, it's a sneaky drinker.

  • Finish:

Long finish, this shines brightest as Amburana laces in nicely: sweet buttercream, bold oak, tobacco, honey and cinnamon, nutmeg and a hint of butterscotch on the finish. Light pops of extra spice from the Amburana here or there, integrated pleasantly with hefty oak, lovely maple.

  • Overall:

Overall, this is easily the best Amburana finished anything on the market, bar none. It's a great combination of aged whiskey notes, some influence from the Amburana, big spice and sweetness, and plenty of oak to keep things complex and interesting.
