House Review
  • Nose:

    Lively and packed with caramel, honey, pralines and almonds, chocolate orange slices (you know, the candy from Christmases as a kid), faint chalkiness and a wallop of butterscotch.

  • Taste:

    Honey-forward, plenty of oak and sweet tannin, nuttiness that reminds me of some of my favorite Knob Creeks and a warming chocolate orange note once more. Savory and sweet, it changes a lot from the moment it hits your tongue.

  • Finish:

    Medium finish with a touch of ethanol and heat, but the cocoa notes dial way up.

  • Overall:

    New Year 2023 is a chocolate and fruit lover's dream. Complex and interesting, it's hardly the same each time you pour it.
