  • It's a bit hot at this proof so would recommend to add a splash of water to bring out a bit more sweetness and balance.

  • The midpalate tempers the fruit somewhat, offering up seasoned oak and Butterfinger candy bar before a long round and warming finish of baking spice, fig, and tart cherry. Fun stuff. And even better than the Phifer Pavitt releases.

  • A robust finished blend of bourbon thanks to its blend that spans ages, distilleries, and mash grains.

  • This is pleasant, well balanced, shows tons of character without leaning into too heavy a cab finish, and that’s a hard feat to pull off. Bravo.

  • Nose:

Rich and decadent on the nose, loaded with toffee, coffee, blackberry and bold tannin, lovely structure.

  • Taste:

Moderate palate, nice viscosity with sneaky proof. Red berries, slate, sweet oak, some pepper, blackberry and currant carry pleasantly.

  • Finish:

Long finish, heavy honey, toffee, blackberry and more slate, minerality, oak and toffee roll through the finish.

  • Overall:

This is pleasant, well balanced, shows tons of character without leaning into too heavy a cab finish, and that’s a hard feat to pull off. Bravo.
