Battle Point Organic Wheat Whiskey is made from 100% USDA-certified organic heritage soft white wheat and fermented with Irish and Scottish whiskey yeasts. It is double distilled and aged for over six years in No. 3 charred 53-gallon American white oak barrels. It is priced at about $59.95.
This would be a great whiskey to drink after dinner as dessert, or simply for when you don't want to think too much about the fact that you're drinking whiskey. Unless you can handle such a heavy, viscous-bodied whiskey, I (personally) couldn't imagine this being a daily casual dram.
Rich and full on a front palate that's somewhat youthful, led by notes of vanilla, milk chocolate, marzipan, and treacle, with lemon and almond adding some zest.
