Bacardí Gold (Carta Oro) Rum is made in Puerto Rico and is an aged rum that is filtered through charcoal and matured from one to two years in toasted American white oak barrels. The rum is then blended to create a light golden rum with a soft oak flavor.
Bacardi Gold is a well crafted amber rum. It has a pleasant flavour profile which appears to be designed to appeal to a wide variety of palate preferences.
The Carta Oro despite all of Bacardi’s marketing gimmicks is not a very sophisticated or complex spirit. If you want a strong hit of alcohol in a glass then reach for the Carta Oro.
