  • Nose:

Bright mint, lemon peel, white pepper, chamomile and white tea on the nose.

  • Taste:

The palate opens with sweet notes of licorice and candied ginger before evolving into a pleasantly bitter expression of resinous juniper, dry woody gentian and grapefruit peel. It delivers the tannic complexity I look for in an aperitif.

  • Finish:

Capsaicin heat and tingle on the medium length finish, supported by lingering cracked black pepper, almost savory allspice and hot cinnamon candies. No hemp funk!

  • Overall:

Fun to sip and fun to mix, Artet Cannabis Aperitif is an enjoyable THC-infused option that delivers a gentle 2.5 mg per serving. I find myself wishing it had a bit more grip on the palate -- it leans slightly watery -- but as a nonalcoholic drink, it makes up for it with an engaging mix of sweet, spicy and herbal flavors.
